Bimini

Am interested in putting a bimini on my Magnum. Interested to see any designs/pictures of how others have gone about it. Already have a dodger so just looking for some additional sun protection over the cockpit area. Interested to see how best to attach, with minimal holes in hull (ideally), whilst getting maximum coverage. How best to handle backstay - remove, or pass through bimini? Cheers

Re: Bimini

Saxil Tuxen has a good system on Velocity. The spray dodger and bimini are designed to be connected by a section of canvas that can be zipped into place making it one complete cover or zipped out to leave as a seperate Bimini and spray dodger. With a bimini the back stay is always going to have to disconnected and/ or threaded thru an opening if you want to sail with it up I think. Paul Jenkins.

Re: Bimini

A new lower cost Spray Dodger option is now available. The original has been copied using the same fabirc cover material and clear windows using marine grade anodsied aluminium tube for the frame as opposed to 316 stainless. If you are interested contact me for further details. Paul Jenkins.
